Hyperspace demo · protocol draft 0.1

One open, free protocol: any website adds a static world.json and becomes a place; every link becomes a portal. This whole demo — four worlds and the viewer — is one HTML file.

Move

  • Phone: touch the left half to walk (a joystick appears) · drag the right half to look
  • Desktop: WASD walk · drag to look · Shift run · Q/E snap turn
  • VR headset: open this page in the headset browser (needs https), press Enter VR · left stick walks · right stick snap-turns

Travel

  • Walk into a glowing ring / door — portals are links with a position
  • Every portal shows its destination origin (the trust chip — spec §6.2)
  • ◈ Worlds opens the Atlas; ← goes back; the URL hash (#world=…) is a shareable deep link
  • In the Observatory: step on branch pads (many-worlds instancing) and the causal patch toggle

What am I looking at?

A working draft of a metaverse layer that coexists with the entire internet: flat pages appear in worlds as panels; worlds appear in flat browsers as this very canvas. No accounts, no tokens, no owner — the spec is public domain (CC0), the code is MIT.
