Jumpy Friend — Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 September 2026
The short version. Jumpy Friend does not ask who you are, does not have accounts, and does not send your game data anywhere. Your scores, hearts and purchases are stored on your own device. The one thing that does involve another company is advertising: the game shows ads supplied by Google, and Google receives some technical information in order to send an ad to your device.
Who this is from
Jumpy Friend is an iOS game published by an individual developer. Questions about this policy, or about anything below, can go to jumpyfriendgame@gmail.com.
What the game itself stores
The following is written to your device's own storage and stays there. It is not transmitted to the developer or to anyone else, and it is deleted when you delete the app.
- Your best scores for each difficulty.
- How many hearts you have, and when the next one is due back.
- Whether you have bought Premium or a 24-hour pass, and whether the pass is still running.
- Your sound and haptics preferences.
- A count of how many runs you have lost, used to decide when an ad is shown.
Advertising
The game shows full-screen ads between runs, and an optional ad you can choose to watch in exchange for refilling your hearts. These are supplied by Google AdMob.
The ads are non-personalised. The game does not ask for permission to track you, does not read Apple's advertising identifier (the IDFA), and tells Google not to use your activity across other apps and websites to choose which ad you see. There is no App Tracking Transparency prompt in this app because there is nothing here that would need one.
Non-personalised is not the same as anonymous. To deliver an ad at all, and to stop showing you the same one repeatedly, Google still receives technical information from your device, which typically includes:
- your IP address, which indicates your approximate location — roughly, your country or region;
- your device type, operating system version and language;
- the fact that an ad was requested, shown, or tapped, and coarse timing information;
- identifiers Google uses to limit how often you see a given ad and to detect fraudulent traffic.
What Google does with that is governed by Google's own policies, not by this one:
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the first time the game requests an ad you may be shown a consent form provided by Google. Your answer is recorded on your device. You can change it later at any time from Options → Ad privacy settings inside the game; that row only appears if a consent choice applies where you are.
Buying Premium removes ads from the game entirely.
Reporting an ad
The developer does not choose which individual ads appear — Google does. If you see an ad that is inappropriate, misleading, or wrong for a game rated 4+, please report it: Options → Report an ad opens an email so you can describe what you saw. That email goes to the address above and is used only to raise the ad with Google.
Purchases
Premium and the 24-hour pass are bought through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles the payment; the developer never sees your name, your card, or your Apple Account. The game only learns that a purchase completed, and records that on your device. Restoring purchases asks Apple what your Apple Account already owns.
Game Center leaderboards
If you are signed in to Game Center, your best score can be submitted to Apple's leaderboards so it can be ranked against other players. This is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The game displays Apple's own leaderboard screen and does not copy, store, or transmit any Game Center information itself. If you are not signed in, nothing is submitted and the game works normally.
Children
Jumpy Friend is rated 4+, which means it contains nothing objectionable — but it is a general-audience game and is not directed at children, is not in the App Store's Kids Category, and is not designed or marketed for them. The game does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age. Ads are limited to Google's "General audiences" content rating.
Analytics
There are none. The game contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no logging that leaves your device. The developer has no way of knowing how you played, how far you got, or whether you opened the app at all.
Your choices
- Stop seeing ads: buy Premium, which removes them permanently.
- Change your ad consent (where it applies): Options → Ad privacy settings.
- Limit ad tracking device-wide: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and → Apple Advertising.
- Remove everything: delete the app. All of the on-device data listed above goes with it. Purchases stay attached to your Apple Account and can be restored if you reinstall.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects any of the above — a new SDK, a different ad network, anything that would collect more than is described here — this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
